Hi, I’m Austin!

I have been tattooing in Portland, OR, since 2022, after having learned the craft in my hometown of Baltimore, MD (Go O’s and Ravens) in 2020. Throughout school, I always showed an interest in art- drawing on the backs of my assignments and trying to take as many art classes as possible. In my collegiate years, art education and advocacy-based services fueled my education. Having graduated with a degree in Human Services and a minor in Psychology, I went on to pursue a career in my field.

I always kept painting and getting tattooed, slowly amassing an extensive collection of tattoos and meeting lots of tattoo wizards along the way. I couldn't stop getting tattooed - I am hooked. It was the coolest shit I had ever seen, and these artists were living my dream. In a stroke of incredible luck, I quit my job and was able to spend more time investing in the tattoo arts. After years of work, I was able to pursue my dream for real; I started apprenticing to learn how to tattoo. This gift is the best I have ever received, and I never take it for granted.

I’m a part-owner of Hot Damn Tattoo, a co-op tattoo shop. I am incredibly proud of the space we have been able to create, and I am so happy to share it with our clients. On my days off, I like to take my cattle dog, Peyote, for trail walks or river swims, go golfing, or catch a Blazers game!
